This Privacy Policy explains how Haromi handles information when you use the iOS application. The core experience is local-first and does not require an account.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Haromi stores the places you create, including titles, messages, coordinates, arrival radii, optional dates, notification preferences, and unlock or discovery history, in the App's local storage. This library is not uploaded to a developer-operated account or content service.
2. Location Information
With your permission, the App uses current location to display distance, verify that you are inside a saved arrival zone, and unlock eligible content. If you separately enable background arrival alerts, iOS may monitor the circular regions associated with eligible saved places. Location checks and unlock decisions are performed on your device.
3. Maps and Apple Platform Services
The App uses Apple technologies such as MapKit, Core Location, notifications, and ARKit. Apple may process information needed to provide those system services under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. Haromi does not receive analytics or advertising profiles from those services.
4. Camera and Augmented Reality
Camera access is requested only when you open an AR treasure session on supported hardware. Camera frames are used for live AR tracking. The App does not save those frames to its library or upload them to a developer service.
5. Notifications and Preferences
Notification permission is requested only when you enable an arrival alert. App preferences, including the background-alert setting, remain in local system storage. You can turn permissions off in iOS Settings at any time.
6. Legal Document Connections
When you choose a legal entry in Settings, the App's embedded browser attempts to open the displayed HTTPS address. That request is separate from your local capsule library. The App does not attach capsule content, coordinates, or advertising identifiers to the request.
7. Analytics, Advertising, Accounts, and Purchases
Haromi does not include a developer analytics SDK, advertising SDK, account system, subscription, or in-app purchase. We do not sell or rent your capsule library.
8. Retention, Deletion, and Security
Local records remain until you delete individual places, use the delete-all control, or remove the App, subject to iOS backup and restore behavior. Device protections and your passcode help protect local data. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices
You may use the local library without granting location or camera access, although location-based unlocks and AR sessions will not work. You control permissions in iOS Settings and can delete local App data from within Haromi.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly operate an account or online collection service for children.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or applicable requirements. A revised document will identify its updated date.
